Autumn Inspiration Day with Carolyn.....

Hi ya peeps. Today it's my turn to inspire you to get your crafty on. I spent the weekend up in our Wisconsin home enjoying fall colors and crisp air. I really love the fall colors of yellow and reds. Just a pop here and there really make the landscape pop. For my card this week, I am going to use yellow and red for my inspiration.

I was thrilled to use 3 different ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store to make my image pop. When using an image that has a hint of color, use ribbons of the same color family for a good way to enhance and bring attention to your focal point. I really like the different textures and of course I used my Bow It All to make my double bow.

Ribbon Recipe: Mini Pom Poms White, Plaid Ruffle Red and Seam Binding Cream.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the Fall weather and don't forget to join in on our challenges.

Pick Of The Patch!

Hello and happy Monday my ribbon loving friends! Linsey here and I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a productive week ahead! I'm getting a head start on my cards for Halloween--Now I don't do scary, but I definitely do cute and I think this sweet little image from Crafty Secrets fits the bill!

I enjoyed making this card, adding black stickles to the photo corners for some sparkle and a few bling and enamel dots just for fun! I also love how versatile paper doilies are--like how on my card, it adds a bit of delicate softness and makes the kitty and peeking child seem even sweeter! I adore this shimmery orange ribbon from the September Ribbon Club Assortment! It's so pretty and a great bargain, as is always the case at Really Reasonable Ribbon! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!

Halloween Cards to Share Today

It's seems like I never get my things done in time to give, so this year I am putting a day aside to make lots of cards and things to give away and have them ready on time :)  Today I have two cards that I made from a Doodlebug pad and stickers that I had in my stash.  The papers and things went beautifully with the new September Ribbon Club Assortment from Really  Reasonable Ribbon, so it was fun and easy to do.

I am more of a cutesy Halloween type girl, so all the cute characters they had in the Halloween set were really fun to use. The ribbon I picked for this one is one of my favorite called Swiss Mini Dots and comes in lots of colors and the apple green for this project matched perfectly.

For my Let's {arty card I made a fence with a Spellbinders die in black cardstock and the moon was made with a scalloped circle die.  Over that I created this cute little scene with all their stickers.  I used Black Burlap String to finish up the bottom of the card and I think it was the perfect touch to finish off my card.  Seems like everything looks better with ribbons on it, right:)

Thanks for stopping over and checking out what's new... Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Bella Strawberries with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone, and Happy Friday to all!
Today's card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using beautiful trims, flowers, and ribbon! It also features The Scrapping Cottage!

Card Measures 5 x 5

I used the Moss Green Leaves Trim to wrap around the front of my card.  Then I tied it, and added a Delicate Stitched Satin Pearl Pink bow, topping that with the beautiful Sweetheart Blossoms that I LOVE!!!

I am having so much fun using these beautiful CottageCutz Petites. It's been years since I have made 4 x 4 cards, and they are super fun and easy to make. Once I added the Moss Green Leaves Trim, I was able to add my scalloped circle with the strawberry and sentiment. Lastly I added the bow and Sweetheart Blossoms.

I used the Sweet CottageCutz Strawberry Petite on my card. Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits, and LOVE how it goes perfectly with the design paper I had picked up months ago at American Crafts.

Supplies Used:
CottageCutz/Strawberry Petite
Really Reasonable Ribbon/Moss Green Leaves
Really Reasonable Ribbon/Delicate Stitched Satin Pearl Pink
Really Reasonable Ribbon/Sweetheart Blossoms
Really Reasonable Ribbon /Scor-Tape
American Crafts Design Paper
American Crafts Card Stock
Martha Stewart Around the page punch
Copics for coloring
Stamps/Cricut

I hope you enjoyed my card for today.  This one was super fast and easy to make!
Thank you for looking!!

hugs to all,
Cheryl

Steampunk Spells Halloween Card Tutorial

For the promotional codes for our current SALE, please click here.

Hey there Paper Peeps. I'm having myself a good ol' time creating Halloween projects and today I'm sharing a tutorial on a fun and festive card with Steampunk Spells along with some great ribbon and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Here's the finished card:

This card has lots of texture and layers! And of course fabulous trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Okay...here's how I made it....

I started with black cardstock and added the very scrunched and inked patterned paper with just a tiny weeny little border showing.

Then another layer of patterned paper. This time it's Pitter Patter. My new favorite.

Next comes a layer with a punched border.

Coupla pieces cut from the Steampunk Spells paper.

Wrap the Black Webbing Ribbon around and secure on back.

Frame adhered  on foam spacers for dimension.

Add owl image to the right corner of frame.

Painted Dusty Attic Chipboard candle stick on the left.

The perfect finishing touch is a nice poofy bow of Swiss Dots on Black Satin Ribbon.
Okay that's all for my Steampunk Spells card. Hope you love it as much as I do! Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Ribbon Tutorial... Stamping on Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon

A big hello to you!  I have a very simple little tutorial to share using the new 2 1/2 inch cotton blend ribbon.  So prim and country!  Looks just like muslim ripped up.  I simply picked out a Halloween stamp and stamped randomly on the ribbon (sorry for the upside down image).  From here I let it dry for awhile (only about 15 minutes).  I used regular black dye ink.   I then layered it with some black tulle and wrapped it around my kraft box and tied a bow.  From here, simply add some fun goodies to the middle of the bow.  I used an oversize kraft tag with a cute image I stitched on, a witch's broom (of course), a mini gourd, a burlap leaf, berries, and some rust seam binding.   This box is nice and large and could be filled with Halloween cookies, candies, you name it!  Enjoy, cherry

Dimensional Autumn Apple Basket Card

Hello Ribbon Lovers! Kathy here. I have been impatiently waiting to share today's card with you. I've made a dimensional autumn apple basket featuring Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bo Bunny Apple Cider Cardstock. The thing that makes this card special is that I made the bushel basket of apples round! Yes, I did! Take a peek:

RRR Blog hop 08
It's not as hard to do as you might think. I began by creating a 5x7 side fold card. I scored the card front at 2 1/2" and then folded it in, toward the card center. Glue down the top and bottom edge on the inside of the card to form a pocket.

A layer of Apple Cider green swirl paper was glued down to the card front. I then fussy cut the basket, apples and leaves, added gold brads to the bushel basket staves and layered the apples and leaves on with dimensional foam. A double layer of foam dots was added to the center of the back of the fussy cut basket.  Then I wadded up some paper towels and stuck them to the foam tabs. I curved the basket by pushing the cut edges toward the center. The edges were glued, and I held them down while sort of pushing them toward the center of the basket until the glue set. Voila! Curved basket! How fun is that?

Then I just added my gorgeous Tangerine Satin Swirls Ribbon to the inside panel of the card, as well as above the bushel of apples. Here's the inside of the card.

I decorated this pocket and tag with chipboard pieces from the collection.

RRR Blog hop 07jpg
The tag was topped with apple green satin swiss dots ribbon and more of the tangerine swirl ribbon. I found this cute little acorn in my stash of fall embellies and secured it to the tag using gold thread.
Because the card is so dimensional, I had to put it in a box instead of an envelope. So, I made one from the matching paper in the collection.

Here's the whole ensemble.

I think this would make a nice hostess gift for all those holiday parties that are headed our way!
Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

Fun Party Favors with Carolyn for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi ya peeps, today is Sunday and I am going to hang out and relax. Today I am going to share with you a tiny project. It's cute, simple and fun.

It's a little "container" to hold little favors. I've used this to put candy in and even some dollar bills. It's a fast little project and anyone can create one.

Here is my diagram..

The entire width of the project is 5.75 by 5.75. I left some white space so you can see. The dashed lines are the scoring lines and the x's are what you should cut out, in this case the diamonds. Keep folding until you need to adhere together. Try out this project and use some pretty Really Reasonable Ribbon to tie off you ends!

The ribbon I used is.....Burlap Center Stitch Brown.

Happy Fall

Hello RRR friends! With only a few days to go, I wanted to officially welcome in Fall! This card was super simple to pull together with this ready-made kraft card with fancy bottom edge along with some pretty trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I got a variety pack of these cards from Joann's last year and sometimes they work just right for the card I want to make. I stamped leaves from a Gina K stamp set in creamy caramel and close to cocoa SU inks then added some wonderful Natural Hemp Cord and Tabitha Natural Crochet Lace along the bottom.

Thanks so much for stopping by and allowing me to share my card! Have a great day!

Summer Sunflower by Jenn Cochran for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone!  Jenn here from Jax Bean Stalks.  Today I have a cute little "Just Because" card.  This fun little bear is paired with a pretty little end of the summer sunflower.  I tied it all up using seam binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The Seam Binding is Grass Green.  It is super flexible and is one of my most favorite types of ribbon to tie bows with.  Once you tie it, it pretty much stays where you want it to.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries 2 pages worth of colors.  So if you love seam binding, you are guaranteed to find the right color here!

The look of a multi-looped bow really makes a card pop.  Plus seam binding is not at all bulky, so you can easily send it through the mail with no problem...maybe just a little smashing!!

Fun Ideas for Tricks or Treats

Hi everyone and happy Thursday to all of you.  Today I have lots of fun ideas to share with you to create fun goody bags to give to friends and family this year.

There are lots of these little white thin paper bags out now and these bags are the perfect size for little ATC cards to fit on the front.  I used stickers from my stash and a few Spellbinders dies that I had and then finished them off with beautiful ribbons from the September Ribbon Assortment and black jute ribbon to make them really special.  It's going to be fun to make up a lot of these since they are so fast and easy and you can use up some of those stickers you have been saving!!

For my little Spider pail, I used an old pail that I had been saving to re-purpose, and made up a pattern first to fit over it out of plain white paper.  Then I cut it out and carefully glued it to the pail and added some black ric rac from the September Ribbon Club Assortment to seal the bottom.  For the top I cut 2 pieces of the Spellbinders scalloped circle and glued them on.  And then I finished it by adding lots of pretty ribbons on both sides of the handle in a gorgeous shade of apple green.  And the cute sticker that says trick or treat is from Doodlebug.  Now it's ready to fill up and give away or maybe just use to decorate my house.  I am not quite sure yet :)

Thanks for stopping over and have a wonderful day...
