Butterfly Birthday Wishes...

Hello everyone!!
Today I have a fun summery birthday card to share.

I love the delicate lacy butterfly background.  This is such a pretty die.

I always like to let my project tell me what size bow to use.  This card wanted a dainty small bow.  I really like how it looks.

Aren't these colors great together?

Inspiration Day with Carolyn...

Hi ya peeps. Today is my inspiration day here at Really Reasonable Ribbon and my project is "Wrapped Up".

I printed my image on the computer and I thought this gingham ribbon would wrap it up nicely. I LOVE big bows and there are plenty of wide ribbon selections in the store. Bows make a great addition to projects and I think they give a lovely finishing touch.

The recipe...

S'more Get Well Wishes

Hello RRR friends! Linsey here and I'm sorry for the delay in posting today! I am running around a lot this summer and almost forgot to share this fun little get well card I made with a s'mores theme. I so dislike getting sick in the summertime--it just feels "wrong" and so I thought this Peachy Keen stamp set was perfect for cheering up folks who are under the weather on the warm summer days. S'mores sure make me feel better no matter if I'm sick or not! :) And I think the Leather Tan Seam Binding I chose to embellish my card with is just perfect. The selection of Seam Binding at the Really Reasonable Ribbon online store is really awesome! I just love how seam binding ties and always looks just right with no effort.

Thanks so much for letting me share my get well card with you!  I hope you have a wonderful and creative day!

Sweet Recipes Book

Hi.  It's Teresa today sharing a recipe book that I created after finding lots of goodies cleaning up my craft room this week.  Nope, there was no pre-planned project in mind but I had this idea to make up a recipe book for all the goodies that I find on Pinterest and since I found so many fun things to use this is what I came up with and it went together really quick too.....

To start, I found this simple chipboard book and this piece of polka dotted paper and I had lots and lots of pretty pink ribbons from RRR shop to tie up the sides so it all kind of came together from there.  Here are all the ribbons that I used: Gingham check ribbon, Seam Binding, metallic edged satin ribbonwhite crochet lace, satin w/grossgrain ribbon, swirls organza ribbon, and some tulle in pink.  I love doing these books because you can use so many ribbons for the insides and to tie up the outside to make it beautiful.

The birdcage, flower and corner piece are from Spellbinders dies that I cut to match the ribbons.  The envelope I had in my stash and the wooden pieces are from Prima.  Inside I bought some recipe cards and matted them in black and glued them on each page.  I think this will end up being a gift ... but I better get busy... there are so many recipes to decide from to put in it.

Thanks for stopping over and hope you all have a great day :)

Sweet Baby Boy

Hello everyone, today's baby boy card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the beautiful ribbons, lace, sweetheart blossoms and white spiral stamens.

For the border across my card I used the Swiss Grosgrain Dots "Tan w/Turftan Brown Dots" Ribbon.  Next I used Danielle White Crocheted Lace to create a border across my card. The big gingham bow is made using the 7/8" Light Blue Gingham Ribbon. The ribbon is attached to my card using the Scor-Tape.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these NEW Spiral Stamen Stems. Bonnie carries them in 5 different colors. I used the white on my card. The little Sweetheart Blossoms are in a light blue and come with different shades of blue in a pack. Its the Mixed Blue & White pack!

The little baby clothes, oval, corner piece and writing are all CottageCutz dies. They are colored with Copics, and the frame is distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink. The Design Paper is American Crafts Baby collection. Lastly I added some buttons, and sewing to complete my card.

Thank you for looking and have a super awesome weekend!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Deconstructed Tag Book In A Box Tutorial

Hey there Peeps! I'm dropping in this morning to share a fun way to create a mini album on tags with a coordinating box to display them in. I call it a deconstructed tag book in a box.  Add your favorite family pictures to one side of the tag and journal the memories on the other side.
Here is a peek of the finished project:

The box is actually very easy to create....especially if you have a score board to make a nice crease to fold on.  I am showing the basic diagram and I used 8 1/2 x 11 inch  110 pound cardstock to create the box out of...very sturdy that way.

Starting with the short side up on your score board....measure in 3 inches from the left and score. Then add 2 1/2 inches and score again.   Flip sheet so the long side is up and measure over 3 inches and score. Add 5 more inches and score again.  On the 4 outside flaps trim 1/2 inch off. Leave the center flap at 3 inches. Fold the flaps in and secure.

Now cut a 3" x 6 " section to be the inside dividers. Using the score board again, measure over 1/2 inch on long side. Score and fold. Flip over and score again 1/2" and fold.  Cut as many of these as you want to create dividers for your tags.

You'll want to take your time and secure with proper adhesive.....Scor-Tape would be ideal. My basement is full of sleepover teenagers playing video games so I had to work quick and get outta there lol.  You can see how the  flaps will create just the right spacing between dividers. Cover with beautiful patterned papers to coordinate with the tags. I used Graphic 45 Secret Garden : ) I also added a few pretty die cuts and dimensional flowers. The ribbon matches perfectly. I used Green Center Stitch Burlap for the outside and Polka Dot Organza for the bows.

I used my Cricut to cut the scallop topped tags and added some hexagon embossed paper with a nice green border, then topped it off with fussy cut journal tags.

I left the back side of the tags to add pictures. You can see that I inked the tags well to highlight the embossing.  Add bows to every other tag so as not to add too much bulk.

We had lots of fun creating this in class and we all agreed that we will be making these for every holiday. Maybe even one for Christmas to display cookie recipes????  And Halloween!!!! What a great way to present gift cards to different members of the same family!

Okay that's all for me I hope you give this box a try.....you will love it as much as I did. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

ABC Primer with RRR Ribbon and Twine

Storybook mom ABC Primer 02

Hello, Friends! It's my day to share some tips for using Really Reasonable Ribbon in your crafty projects. Recently, I was asked to custom design a series of thank you cards for some folks who had participated in a book drive for a local public school . This team collected over 25,000 books for children who might otherwise spend an entire summer without exposure to the printed page. The lovely lady who headed up this book drive wanted me to design some special thank you cards themed around books and reading. I combined ABC Primer with RRR ribbon and twine to add just the right finishing touch to each card. Here's a look at the fun book themed cards I created.

Storybook mom ABC Primer 01

This card combines Poppy Red Satin ribbon with a grosgrain edge with 1 1/2" wide black circus dots ribbon. I also added a touch of natural burlap string beneath the flower.

Mother Goose ABC Primer 01

This sweet little card needed just a touch of Natural Burlap String in the form of a button topped bow to finish it off.

Jolly Alphabets ABC Primer 01

This colorful card combines black and yellow burlap string with black and white circus dots. This wide ribbon makes a perfect belly band on the card, and a cute banner, too!

ABC Primer Frog card 01

I wrapped red and natural burlap string around the base of the red polka dot background on this fun card.

Tea Girl ABC Primer 01

And I tied a triple loop bow with more of the Poppy Red Satin and my Zutter Bow-it-All. This shade of red matches the red in ABC Primer perfectly!

You know that old saying, "Clothes make the man,"? Well, I think ribbon and twine make the card! Combining ABC Primer papers with RRR Ribbon and Twine makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers!

Cheerio,

kathy

Scaredy-cat....errrrr DOG

Did you do a double take?  Halloween already?   I can't help myself!  Plus...it is always good to get a head start.   I have this cute little holiday greeting made for RRR.   As you can see I did a step by step. I accidentally erased one of my pics but I think you get the gist of it.  1) Gathered my goodies together , 2) Covered my cardstock with papers half and half and started the base of my bow by wrapping it around card and tying knot.  3) I added my button and scallop border made with my sizzix, 4) Added my cute image from Crafty Secrets and the glitter border at the bottom, 5) From here I just added a couple of dimensional goodies - bats and a glitter star using 3d foam adhesive.   I added my banner sentiment at the top and it was done!  Cute and ready to put a bit of a smile on someone this fall!  Enjoy!  Cherry

Howdy Partner!

Hello RRR friends! Today I get to share a card I made, yee haw! This adorable image is from one of my favorite stamp companies, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I love coloring her images, even though I still have a long way to go with my coloring skills hehe! :) I don't think there is another ribbon more perfect for a country-feel card than this Red Plaid Ribbon! My next project with this same ribbon is going to be a 3-D grilling apron card and I think this red and white will be just right! I also used some of my favorite go-to ribbon whenever I can't quite find the right one, this White Dotted Organza Ribbon is the best! I tied a bit of it to the tops of the 2 tags that hold the sentiment along with bits of raffia for a hay-like feel. :) I even tied a teensy tiny bow to the horse's tail with Ivory Burlap String, another go-to favorite. I use it all the time!

Thanks so much for letting me share my country card with you! I hope you have a wonderful and creative day!

New Babies for Summer

It's so good to hear the news of a new baby in someones family, so today I am sharing a card that I did for a friend knowing she is having a girl anytime this month!!  How exciting!!

One of my favorite ribbons to use is Seam Binding.  It comes in skads of colors and you can even spray your own for a more vintage look if you get the white to use.  It makes great bows and looks amazing if you wet it and scrunch it and then let it dry. Love it and have stocked up on colors so that I have it for whatever I am doing.  For my card I used the white to go with the My Baby papers from American Craft mixed with a few Pebbles tags.  It was fun to mix the papers and make lots of layers and it went together really easy... and I think she is going to like it.....

Thanks for stopping over today and be sure and check out the new summer RRR Ribbon Club Assortment this month and the Seam Binding ribbons too.

Happy Friday...Teresa

Two Shabby Chic Floral Delight Pages

Happy Thursday to all! Today I wanted to share 2 more pages I made for my Shabby Chic Floral Delight Album.

 1st Page

On this page I used lots of Really Reasonable Ribbon's Seam Binding and Sweetheart Blossoms. I also used lots of Scor-tape, this is what made the pocket out of the Spellbinders frame. I love using RRR Seam Binding.  I created the greenery using the Moss Green Seam Binding like I did on all my pages. I love the look it gives. Next I added some little flowers I made along with the Sweetheart Blossoms that Bonnie carries in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store. There are lots of colors to choose from too.

Here is a photo matte I created for the pocket. I added more Seam Binding and Sweetheart Blossoms to this.

The pocket opens up on top for more photos. I love making room for photos in my albums, as there always seems to never be enough room.

The Dress Form is a CottageCutz die. I added some glitter to it, and flowers as well. Lastly I added some of the pearl flourishes, and some vintage lace from my stash.

Here is the 2nd page for today!

For this page I created a pocket, and added 2 tags to the inside. They were cut using the Spellbinders frames. On the outside of the Pocket I used a CottageCutz die, it's the Tea Time Doily. I was thinking of adding a photo to it.  I also  used tons of Seam Binding, and Sweetheart Blossoms for this page as well.

I hope you enjoyed my pages for today, as I had a LOT of fun creating these! Thank you for looking and have a wonderful day!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl
